Social Collective in partnership with The Common and Squamish Art House present CRUX: A Squamish Film Event.
2 amazing films. 2 inspiring nights. Through photos and film we explore though the lens of adventure; how small decisions eventually impact our journey, and our final destination.
Life is full of decisions. Some decisions are life changing; those are usually hard to make.
Crux:the decisive or most important point at issue.
Each event will bring together either the film maker or an adventurer, to explore some hard decisions they’ve had to make. As well as watching an amazing film, the evening will explore how crux decisions lead to unexpected results. Whether your love is sport or business we’ll discuss how we can find inspiration and growth, through adversity and pushing through that crux!

Film 1: Into Twin Galaxies (Friday)
Three National Geographic Adventurers of the Year embark on an unreal ski and kayak mission across Greenland. Using kite skis, they tow their whitewater kayaks over 1,000km of the Greenland ice sheet to reach the most northern river ever paddled.
Film 2: This Mountain life (Saturday)
Shot in cinematic detail, This Mountain Life, follows 5 stories and is a riveting examination of human passion set high in the peaks of British Columbia. (Official Selection Hot Docs 2018)
The awe that mountainous landscapes evoke is universal. Yet in a province that is 75% mountains, most of us seldom venture into true wilderness. Living amongst us is a special breed of people. They are undefined by age, gender, profession or background, but for them, the draw of the mountains is so strong that their lives must revolve around it.
