STAFF (Squamish Technology, Arts & Film Festival) is a festival that plans to be a little bit different to what you might normally think of, when you think ‘Squamish Festival’.

Tagged as “a/thoughtful/art/music/technology/festival” S.T.A.F.F. runs from May 22nd to 27th. Created by a group of community minded locals, the festival was a last minute idea that came about to celebration the unique and innovative way that Squamish locals approach work and play.

Each event has a unique twist with a mix of talks, workshops, music, film and art. Specially invited guest speakers include former Montreal Allouettes linebacker Shea Emery, Carlee Price an angel investor who recently presented at SXSW, Bradley Roulston who implemented the Nelson Dollar, local Dr Sal Meli of Euphoria amongst others. The week-long event will not shy away from controversy and challenge your views and thoughts. Events cover topics such exploring gender roles with money, creating a currency for Squamish, taking supplements to increase performance and work smarter.

20% of profits for events go to the Helping Hands Society. With all proceeds from the closing party going to Helping Hands Society. Find events here Social Collective FB Events Page and Buy Tickets here.

Blockchain now offers local communities the opportunity to build their own eco-system in a digital medium. We will be looking at how traditional systems were implemented and compare them to current options with Blockchain. How Blockchain technology can help overcome some of the difficulties that were experienced in traditional systems and what new innovations Blockchain may allow local communities to exercise.
